Joy Gee has had many opportunities to practice these lessons in her involvement over twenty years as a children's pastor, children's evangelist, and Sunday school teacher. She is a graduate of California State University and has done extensive coursework in early childhood education at Vanguard University, American River College, and Sacramento City College. She and her husband, Joe, have three adult children.

Joy loves the outdoors and admits that she still collects creepy-crawlies that she finds while gardening, hiking, and walking her dogs. She says, "The Bible says that creation declares the glory of God. I just like to give it a platform from which to speak."
