Michael L. Sherer is the author of twelve published titles, both fiction and ministry-related, and has served as pastor of ELCA churches all over the state of Iowa. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa and his Master of Divinity degree from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa.Reverend Sherer is currently serving a four-year term as city council member in Waverly, Iowa. He is married and has two adult daughters.
Timothy W. Ayers recently pastored a small church in western New York. It was his first time working with a smaller body of Christians. After planting churches and working with several larger congregations, he felt the call to minister in a completely different setting. He learned a lot about the limitations of a small congregation.
Dean Feldmeyer is the author of five novels, four non-fiction books, three plays, and over two hundred published articles, short stories, essays, songs, and poems. He is also one of the contributing writers for The Immediate Word, a component of CSS's SermonSuite. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theater, Dean also holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio.
Frank Ramirez is the pastor of Everett Church of the Brethren in Everett, Pennsylvania. A graduate of the University of LaVerne and Bethany Theological Seminary, Ramirez is the author of numerous books, articles, and short stories. Frank has been a long-time writer for CSS' online subscription StoryShare. His CSS titles include Gabriel's Horn, The Christmas Star, The Bee Attitudes, Partners in Healing, He Took a Towel, Coming Home, Lectionary Worship Aids series, and A Call to Worship.
Ronald H. Love was called into the ordained ministry from a career as a state trooper. He has served Methodist churches in rural, inner-city, and suburban settings for 20 years, and also served for four years as an Army chaplain. He holds a master's degree in theology (Wesley Theological Seminary) and a doctorate in homiletics (Pittsburgh Theological Seminary). Dr. Love now resides in South Carolina.
Richard Gribble, CSC, is a Catholic priest in the Congregation of Holy Cross. He has served at St. John Vianney in Goodyear, Arizona, and as the acting superior at Moreau Seminary at the University of Notre Dame. Father Gribble earned his Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America, and has also earned degrees from the United States Naval Academy, the University of Southern California, and the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. He is the author of several books and over 100 articles.
Peter Andrew Smith lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia with his wife, Meredith, daughter Hope, and dog Sophie. A graduate of the University of New Brunswick and the Atlantic School of Theology, he is an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada who has served congregations throughout Atlantic Canada.
