The process described in this book will lead to church members who are more deeply committed and more firmly rooted in their faith. It brings together worship, Christian education and social outreach in a detailed program that is directed to the adult who seeks to become an authentic disciple of Christ in an age of member inactivity and half-hearted witness.

The program described here will be useful to:
* Pastors preparing adults for baptism and church membership.
* Church leaders searching for a more faithful way to reach out in evangelism
* Preachers preparing their sermons
* Small group Bible studies, using Lent/Easter to discuss issues of discipleship and conversion

Frank Honeycutt has a great gift for Christian communication. Pastors will find this book to be a valuable resource. His thoughts on baptism and the Christian life are invigorating, biblical, and engaging.
William H. Willimon
Dean of the Chapel and Professor of Ministry
Duke University

Pastor Honeycutt offers a model of one congregation's experience with "making disciples." Then in a folksy series of meditations from Ash Wednesday through the Day of Pentecost we travel with him on a spiritual journey through his own musings, the eyes of his children or the words of a friend, he invites us to meet the risen Christ.
The Reverend Jean Bozeman
Director, Office of Parish Services/Assistant to the Bishop
The Virginia Synod, ELCA

Riveting the reader to the spirit of the scriptures, Honeycutt speaks soul to soul in a crisp writing style which ushers one into deep reservoirs of metaphor and meaning. Here he addresses hard questions of the soul, responding to them with surprising and often brilliant analogies which simultaneously comfort and challenge one to take yet another step of faith into the life of discipleship and ministry; a rarity in contemporary soul talk.
