Richard Stoll Armstrong's poetry may have been heard by as many people as have read it. He has been using his poems in talks and sermons for nearly four decades and in recent years has been inspiring church audiences with his dramatic poetry recitations. In his poems and other writings Armstrong is able to draw upon a remarkably varied background as a World War II Navy veteran, minor league baseball player, major league public relations director, advertising copy chief, radio broadcaster, television program director, development officer, journal editor, teacher, coach, and pastor. He is presently the Ashenfelter Professor of Ministry and Evangelism Emeritus at Princeton Theological Seminary.
