"I am convinced that the best curriculum for the church is that which is shaped and fashioned by each teacher, in local, specific contexts, through interaction with the local pastor(s), other teachers in the community, and the students themselves. Pastor Kaufman's carefully tested material provides ideal resources for this to occur."
Norman A. Beck
Professor of Theology and Classical Languages
Chairman, Department of Theology and Philosophy
Texas Lutheran University

This book is not a canned, "everything provided" curriculum. Instead, it is a resource which offers teachers the opportunity to write their own Sunday School lessons, drawing from their own context and experience. It provides all the necessary tools, as well as guidelines and structure for working through the Bible.

The benefits are obvious ...
* Students and teachers become directly involved in structured Bible study
* The guides are adaptable to the needs of urban and rural churches
* The guidelines are flexible and usable for any age group
* The high costs of curriculum materials are avoided
* The resource encourages the creativity and unique interest of teachers and students
