Dean J. Piper is pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in Vance, South Carolina. He also serves part-time as South Carolina Synod Stewardship Specialist through the Division for Congregational Ministries of the ELCA. Piper has pursued graduate studies in Apocalyptic Literature and has maintained a 30-year interest in studying and teaching the last book of the Bible. He earned the B.A. degree from Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, and M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio.
